Here is more about her –

What does a work day look like for you?

Insane!!! It starts at 6 am - reach by 7:30-8 am - start working and it doesn’t stop! You never leave work behind - car, house, and mall - wherever you might be. Almost like a second child for me now. Being in HR and dealing with people is one of the most versatile functions and it keeps me on my toes. A myriad of requests, a variety of issues and a whole world of possibilities - and it doesn’t stop!

How is it working with UrbanClap?

I love it! It is a way of life for me now - I feel like a veteran in the company although being only 4 months old.

What led to shifting from economics to Human resources?

Life - it wasn’t an active decision. I got through the right course at a great college and I went for it - some of the best decisions for some of us happen this way right? I don't regret it for a single bit! Although I will always have a soft corner for economics.

You have been a lecturer in past, what made you work for a start-up?

I think UrbanClap made me work for a startup :) - I believe in the idea and the people behind the idea. I love the idea of possibilities here - what we are trying to do with our product and what I can contribute here as well with a supportive team.

What tips would you give to SHEROES starting their careers?

I don't believe there is a glass ceiling and you shouldn’t either. Something my father always says: "If you believe you can’t, you won’t and if you believe you can you will". It is just that simple :) - Believe!

More about Sana – She completed her B.Sc. Hons. in Business from the University of London, following which she went on to do a diploma in Economics from the London School of Economics. She then pursued a Masters in International Employment relations & Human Resource Management from the LSE. She was also a part time lecturer at the University of London- Dubai branch, where she taught Organisation Theory.
